Statement of Beliefs

We are a New Testament Church
· Reaching out to our local community and the nation
About the Bible
· We believe that the Bible is divinely inspired and is the revealed will of God.
About God
· We believe in the triune godhead of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
· We believe God created the universe by His Power and Word.
· We believe that God is all knowing, all-powerful, and ever present.
About Jesus Christ
· We believe that Jesus is the Son of God and was sent by God the Father into the world to save sinners.
· We believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead victoriously.
· We believe that He ascended to His Father's side where He is the head of the church.
· We believe Jesus Christ is returning back to earth personally, visibly, and bodily to reign as Lord.
About Salvation
· We believe that to receive salvation, one must be born again according to John 3:3 and Romans 10:9-10.
About the Holy Spirit
· We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
· We believe that all believers are endowed with certain spiritual gifts.
About Baptism
· We believe that all believers should be water baptized as commanded in the Scriptures.
About the Church
· We believe a New Testament church is a local body of baptized believers who have agreed together to worship Jesus Christ, edify the believers, evangelize the lost, and minister to others.
· The church has two ordinances: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ
an
d the new life we have in Him. The Lord's Supper is a reminder of Christ's
death and anticipates His Second Coming
